Hey, does anyone have any experience with this camera? I would like to start shooting 35mm still photography while on my sets and to be honest I haven't the slightest clue on what kind of film it takes and the basic operation...can anyone help shed some light on this topic? also, I know you can get less grainy film, do you know where I can get film with visible grain? thanks!

Hey WAB,

I've worked with this camera before and my girlfriend currently uses it as her main cam.

The camera takes any 35mm formated film; color, slide, or black and white.

For film with visible grain you would need high speed film. For back and white you have a few options. Fuji Neopan 1600 and Ilford Delta 3200. For color Fuji Pro 800Z or Kodak Portra 800. You can also try using expired film which depending on the film might yield the grain you want.

For basic operation the manual can be found online from a few places. Does the meter work?

i have 2.

great cam.

I like Kodak TRI series for B&W. 400 speed is pretty good. shoot it a stop under exposed, and have the lab push the film 1 stop, that will help bring out the grain and contrast.
