ok so whats the best export setting for hd on youtube if im shooting with the canon 5d at at 30fps

I don't shoot 5D but have liked the look (and appreciated the ease) of the "HD widescreen for YouTube" export option... it even provides the option of 24p.

quicktime h.264, bitrate around 5-10mbps for 720, 10-15 for 1080.

Just use the YT preset or one of HDtv preset under the H.264 format in the export settings.
