Canon 5D Mark III - Handling of spanned clips

Hi,

I was looking to pick up a 5D Mark III soon and I`m wondering how Premiere CS6 handles the restitching of spanned clips. I usually use the Media Browser when importing footage. Does MB handle the stitching process automatically?

Media Browser does for genuine 'spanned' clips, but I understand the Mark III doesn't create 'spanned' clips (with metadata telling the NLE how to stitch them up), just individual files.

Unfortunately, certain spanned clips are not handled very well in Premiere Pro CS6 due to a bug. We fixed the problem in the upcoming version of Premiere Pro. Please file a feature request to get this problem fixed for CS6: http://www.adobe.com/go/wish

I recommend transcoding any spanned AVCHD files to a different format for the time being.
