it got me out of a HVX and 35mm adapter setup pretty quick. Great images and very easy work arounds.

I will probably get the 5DII after I complete my EX1 kit. I have a 5D and a lot of L glass.
My honest opinion is that even with the limitations, the 5dMk2 is the best camera I've used for depth of focus and low-light situation.... and I've used the Red on numerous occasions.
If you can, get one. But don't expect that people will want you to use it for paying gigs.
