Canon 4K C200 and C400 at NAB?

I have been longing for good autofocus. i may always have a love for manual, but AF can be not just nice, but a great tool.

I predict Canon will be the first company to successfully incorporate this technology, even before Arri/Zeiss can come up with something, because they seem like the only company that could easily come up with a complete system for it.

Really crazy to see the camera companies having lower than projected sales, and yet.... they didn't give customers what they wanted... and yet... slowing releasing updates is the standard-cause we don't want them to go out of business.... and yet... sales are down.... hmmm.......

Circumstantial, I am sure... but coincidental, nonetheless.

Will be interesting to see NAB this year, and whether 4K will single handedly save camera makers. Sadly, 4K, as wonderful and needed as it is, will distract and prolong many other important functions and specs. It is the indomitable elephant in the room, and one of the inevitable spec upgrades. So, let's get 4K over with, and keep on moving towards better tools. But if not, and they choose to improve on usability and functionality and color and dynamic range first, that is ok. either way, despite some major bench mark products and major breakthroughs, there is a feeling of 'trickle' rather than solution. Big challenges for engineers and big decisions for the businesses (but they have us wrapped around their little fingers, don't they.... look! the carrot!).

Here we go.

Well said, especially from a guy that shoots 4K.

Sooo.. when will we find out if there will be a new Canon camera thats worth holding off till?

I think they've announced everything. Their new lens was their big thing for this NAB. I don't think they're still having a presentation, are they?
