Canon 20D, First Try with Colour Correction!

I've owned a Canon 20D for a few months now - damn nice camera!

Either way, I just got Photoshop CS2 a little while ago so I thought I'd try colour correcting a few photos. Please keep in mind, I have no knowledge of Photoshop's more advanced functions, so these were all made with some basic layer, levels, saturation, contrast, etc. adjustment.

Also, I'm pretty tired so I did these kind of quickly; I'm sure I could pull something better of with more time but I just wanted to have a look at what I could come up with! :)

Here they are (first pic always original, followed by colour-corrected):

Hope you like some of them, feedback very much appreciated!

PS: My first try, please don't kill me! :)

First one has a nice bleach bypass look to it...very stark, makes the rocks in the truck, or whatever it is, look more daunting, fearsome, so to speak.

Thanks mate, that one I actually spent the most time on as well, which may seem a little weird seeing as its in black & white! While I'm at it, I guess I should probably explain the other two images a little as well.

The Sprite can was more me taking some settings way over the top rather than seriously trying to improve the image.

The last photo didn't actually turn out as changed as I wanted, now that I look at it in comparison to the original I'm pretty sure I'm going to go back and work on it some more! :)

..The sprite looks like some heavenly thing out from a sprite advertisement.
