Cannot load keyboard-shortcuts ???

Hi, i need to save my keyboard shortcuts of FinalCut, but when i try to load them in again (even on the same computer) it doesnt work. Its just says:

"Diese tastaturbelegung ist für „Österreichisch“. Falls Sie sie in die aktuelle Sprache importeren, stimmen die Tasten möglicherweise nicht überein."

in English:

"This Shortcutconfiguration is for "Austrian". If you import in the recent language, the keys may not match"

So i can then either pess "ok" or "cancel", but it doesnt matter because it changes nothing...

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Seems like some kind of conflict between global keyboard setting(s) and FCP. I guess when trying to change it FCP is throwing a bit of a fit. If you have the keyboard settings as their defaults (in FCP), try saving that out as is, just to see if the save works at all.

If it does then I would update my keyboard settings one key at a time. Doing a fresh save of the layout for each key. If it happens off the first change, then start at the defaults and use a different first key for the change. If it happens yet again, well definitely something not good. If it doesn't happen, well you might be looking at one (or two, etc) keys that just won't play friendly being altered. At least you can start weeding down the culprit that way (even if it won't necessarily solve the matter). That would be helpful to say email Apple with or such.

I checked with a German FCP guru, and they use an English system with a German keyboard layout, and get the same error message, except that their's says 'Americane'.

So, what you'd need to do is use an Austrian keyboard with the Austrian keyboad settings, etc. Everything should match. I'll private message you with some info. Basically, if your keyboard and system don't match, FCP will have problems saving and/or loading the keyboard custom layouts you make.
