Cannot Capture

Hi Guys,

I mostly use Premiere to capture my DVX100A footage but thought I would try Vegas b/c I do like it for the edit.

My problem is that Vegas 6 (fully updated) does not recognize the device at all when coming in through the firewire, but Adobe Premiere will. So I know it's not a connection problem.

I chose the firewire in the capture menu but still nothing.

Has anyone encountered this problem or if there are any suggestions I would appreciate it greatly.

Are you using the internal or external capture for Vegas 6? You need to use the external capture for DV (internal is HDV).
