I want to put some canned air in my checked bags, is that safe? The place I'm going wont have any for sale, so I gotta bring my own to spray that dusty lil DVX.

Aerosol cans ARE BANNED as carry on items by the FAA/NTSB/TSA( i know its one of those). The American Airlines website says its does NOT allow passengers to carry any type of pressurized container on the flight...anywhere on the plane. This is probably the standard for most air carriers. It's somewhat confusing because if you check here... http://www.tsa.gov/assets/pdf/311-brochure.pdf it says that you must have aerosols of 3 ounces or less to pass through security. In regards to the safety of it...if the plane is pressurized there's no problem flying with a pressurized can. Cabin altitude is around 8,000ft (I believe) in most airliners you'll fly on. If you're just worried about whether or not it will explode, it wont.
