Canadian DVX100A

Inspite of assuring me that they were selling a US model, a**holes sent a canadian model. And they had also sold me Panasonic extended warranty for 5 years. Turns out they gave me a mack warranty for 4 years.
When contacted they are saying that the Canadian and US models are the same... and that Panasonic does not make separate Canadian or US models... instead they make 'north american' models. Is this right? I am going to contact Panasonic and also BBB to register a complaint. They also said Mack warranty was provided by Panasonic. Is this true?
I should have read thru these forums before jumping ahead into a transaction with DigitalMegaStore.com

As far as I know there is no such thing as Ca/US models. They are exactly the same. Someone may correct me.

There is no such thing as a Canadian/US version. Only thing that may differ is warrantee and other promotional stuff. For example, us Canadians don't get Magic Bullet software with the camera. Even though we're north of the border, we still get the same crappy NTSC standards as you.

Yea, the whole CAN/US cam thing was a joke.

I didn't know that you guys don't get Magic Bullet. That sucks. You should have gone through EVS. You would have gotten our discount.

Thank you guys for your response. I was just pissed for having invested so much money on something that could have turned out to be a nightmare.
The camera is great and i'm hoping to make a short this weekend.

There actually is a Canadian version of the DVX100a.

Everytime you make a mistake, it says its sorry.
