can someone identify the true difference in these kits?

I have been looking at these 2 kits and I don't really see the dimmer knob worth 100 more dollars for me, since I can switch off banks @ 25% each on both kits...

is there something that I don't know about the XLR type power? can someone please explain.

I really want an affordable LED kit that actually has the ability to be run off rechargeable batteries, so I can shoot on location without cords and extensions everywhere.

Well the Dimmable version has the same 4 Bank switches, but will also dim from 100% down to 10%, and can be run directly from a 12 volt source.
If you wanted to run the other model from a battery you would need an inverter.

All the Best!

ok so I can have a car battery on location an power them through that? but the dimable ones should still have a normal ac plug included right?
