Can someone ID this piece of equipment?

I bought a used Ambient ACD 301 timecode slate, and it came with this little black box. It has a wireless antenna and an XLR female jack. I believe it's for sending a wireless timecode signal to the slate, but I'm not 100% sure. Can someone tell me what it is, how it is used, or where to find more info?

I'm not familiar with that 'black box' but it's for sure some kind of wireless link. Someone over at the JW Audio group would know for sure.

I believe it is a radio link used to wirlessly transmit timecode from a camera to the slate in order to sync the slate to it. Aftert all, it says so right on the box -- "Timecode RF Link." Why don't you drop an email to Ambient support with the exact model and serial number info for your slate and ask 'em for details on how to use it. Make sure it's clear you're asking about an earlier model as the current generation of the 301 slate has a different, updated, external sync module..
