Can some try to reproduce.

If you have an old VV4 project that you can/have opened in VV5b.
Step one add velocity envelope to a clip in time line.
Step two add point to envelope (double click or right click)
then click on that point, just click don't move.
Does your cursor jump to beginning of time line at the same point you added the point in the envelope.

No. Can you more fully describe the problem -- what you're trying to do and what's not going correctly?

Re: Can some try to reproduce.

After further testing, I can open VV5 (new project) add a video track, insert empty event at beginning of time line move to the end of that event add another empty event. Then with out moving either add a velocity envelope to the second event, double click the envelope to add point and my cursor jumps to the first event. Now if I move the second event any and click on any of the points I added to the second event the cursor goes to that point.

I did reproduce this. It looks like the cursor jumps to the correspondent point on the first event. If you add more points, you'll find that clicking on them will make the cursor jump around the first event, in places which correspond to the points. Why does it do this? Don't know.

How is it messing up what you're trying to do?

Re: Can some try to reproduce.

I stubbled on to it when I opened a VV4 project, the bug goes away once you move the clip or event with the velocity envelope.

It freaked me out more than anything, when I added the point it jumped so I click on the point again and the preview stayed the same. I was thinking "Oh great now how I see where I'm putting the point in the clip". But found the fix after a few minutes.

So I did find a bug .... yippy .... I'm happy now
Now to submit it to Sony
