Can Premiere import Vegas files?

Someone cut some footage in Vegas and I want to import it into Premiere as I don't use Vegas. Does Premiere handle EDL or anything like that? The only workaround I know of at this point is to render out the Vegas file and import it into Premiere...

At this time, there's no reliable way to share projects other than doing the render.
