Can Premiere 6.0 work with XP????

Is there any way to run Premiere 6.0 on Windows XP??? I'm trying and can't seem to find a way. ANY help would be much appreciated!
 
I can't get 6.5. I've tried everything (at least I think I have) to try and install 6.0 but it keeps giving me an error message "The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications"
 
Don't know why your getting the error. I have Premiere 6.0 and run Win XP Pro and I have no problems with it at all. I upgraded to Premiere Pro 1.5 later on but kept Premiere 6 installed for the Smartsound.

Premiere 6.0 will run fine on Windows XP. Your installation issue must be with either Premiere or Windows XP. I would start with a clean install of windows. If you're still having problems it's possible that a file may be corrupted from Premiere. Maybe the disc is damaged?
