Can not import clip from P2 card...

Ok,

I have one take that I can not seem to import into FCP or even playback the clip back in p2cms I keep getting this error.

"It is not play back.

It was not play back because there was incompleteness in the clip."

I have tried to repair the the clip in the camera and also with P2 log pro, with no luck. I can play the clip back in camera and in FCP Log and transfer(BUT CAN'T IMPORT) but no playback in the P2 viewer. The take was shot at 24pn at default framerate .

Any help would be great thanks,

i have exactly the same problem ...

one clip will not import ... 24PN mode as well ...

51 clips good , one bad , cannot repair ... help us please ..

i tried moving the card to another slot, same thing ...

any pref's to toss that would help this ..

neil,

i found a solution for me .. maybe it will work for you .. a combination of things i read on the net ..

transfer files from camera (drag and drop into your project capture folder) ... do not use P2 import in FCP yet ...

then do the import P2 ... when you get to the point where you can see the bad clip, right click on it ... choose preferences ... uncheck Remove Advanced Pulldown and Duplicate frames ...

now do the import .. it took three times before it work properly .. look into your capture folder and see if the file now looks like the other files (you should see a thumbnail) .. if you just see a Quicktime symbol and not a thumbnail try it again ..
