Can not export to DVD on premiere 1.5?!?!

So I just recently bought a dvx-100a and I'm incredibly excited. For the hell of it I just start shooting random things on the 24Pa setting and transfer it over to my computer via capturing it on Premiere. However, after I try to export the DVD any of the HIGH quality features (Progressive and non-progressive) it just won't work. Here's a few things I've tried

-Tried bringing the hardware acceleration down all the way
-Changing frame rates to the exported DVD's from 29 to 24
-Did Upper fields, lower fields, and no fields (when progressive)

Nothing seems to work. I'm starting to think it just might be my computer. I'm running this on a Sony VAIO P4 2.8 mhz, with 512 MB of RAM. However that should be enough right?

Also, Just a small side note with another tape I shot something using the 24P feature (not the 24Pa) feature and when I uploaded it to the computer it reads it as 29.97 fps rather than 24...weird....The one I'm having problems with is reading at 24 fps. Just a side note, I'm not trying to incorporate both projects into one, just asking why one is reading at 24 and the other at 29...

Anyway guys ANY help would REALLY be appreciated. Thanks again.

what kind of error messages is it giving you? When you do the export, does it not respond. Sometimes when you encode progressive, it will take really long to encode depending on how long your project is. Sometimes it may look like its not responding but it is.

Well, when i try to export to DVD it gives me the message "Out of Memory." It does this when it's about 3/4 done with the whole process. However, Sometimes it just says Unknown error.

I also figure maybe I can just export the sequence into a .m2v file and put it into a DVD authoring program and make the DVD that way. However, when I tried that, the render screen popped up and after a few minutes of waiting to see if there is any type of rendering going on I got impatient and hit the cancel button, which in return cases my computer to crash..

Could it just be I don't have enough ram and processing power with a P4 2.8 mhz and 512 mb of ram?

Give me an example of what you guys are editting your 24p footage with.

I works with Premiere 1.5 and have exported my project to DVD many times with no error. My system is P4 2.8 MHz HT and 1 GB of RAM.
I think your RAM is enough to do editing with Premiere. I know it coz before I upgraded my RAM to 1 GB, it was 512 MB too, and had no problem.
But I never make project with progressive before, always in non-progressive.
What about your HDD's free space? is it big enough?

yep, thisiswells is absolutely right. You don't have enough free space. Try to make more free space and export it again.

I think he meant about me being the "G****** Man" Not about free space. Anyway, thanks for the help guys. But I figured out what was wrong.

Apparently Premiere Pro 1.5 has a bit of problems working with computers with Hyper Thread technology. I didn't even notice that my P4 2.8 MHZ computer had a small "HT" written on the side of the "Intel Inside" logo. I went over to the Adobe website and read a few FAQs about error problems. They had the exact "Out of memory" error and told me I should do two things.

1. Download the adobe media encoder update file (provided on the web site)
2. A windows fix (provided on teh website)

Low and behold, I was exporting DVD's left and right. If anyone needs these sites feel free to private message me or just post in this thread.
