Can I use Kodak Wratten Gel filters for my matte box?

I'm looking for some filters for my matte box (4x4 and 4x5.65). Now I found these Kodak 100mmx100mm Wratten Gel filters at a good price...
My stupid question: Can I use them for my matte box (the dimensions should be ok) or are they for a complete different purpose? And if I can, how is the quality of them? Any input is welcome.
Thanks a lot,
Manfred

You can use them. They aren't going to be as good as a nice glass filter, of course, but that hasn't stopped me from using a few. Just make sure you get them already in the frames. I got some off of eBay once that were free-floaters for taping onto lights.
