Can I reduce room reverb from audio ?

Ok - so I have just finished shooting an IT corp presentation & some of the testimonials were recorded with the standard built in mic on the dvx. When I now go back over the footage - there is alot more room reverb on the voice then I wanted ???
It was a small enclosed room - I thought there would be no need for an ext mic or wireless mic :-/

Probably a stupid 'Q' but - is there any way of reducing the room reverb from the audio track by using a plugin or something that could dampen the reverb tails  :-/
Tried a gate with not much luck - any suggestions would really help us out of this very thick pickle im in. :(

It's impossible to completely eliminate recorded reverb, but you may be able to reduce it a bit by rolling off some of the high end. You'll have to play with it in order to strike a compromise between reducing the reverb and preserving the voice. A nice graphical EQ in an external app is ideal but FCP's Low Pass or EQ might work with some trial and error.
