can i open older proj files?

I just got my final cut studio 3 in the mail. Before I install.. will i be able to open my current fcp project files after I open it? Thanks!

Yeah you can, but it will prompt you to save it as a new version. ONCE YOU DO, YOU CAN'T GO BACK. So be careful. Do a "save as" AS SOON AS you open your old project files.
