Can I open a "X" project in FCP 7?

I have a new computer and have tried to give Final Cut X a shot. I simply cannot get used to it and need to go back to Final Cut 7. I did manage to complete a few projects, however, and would like to access them in the future in FCP7. Is there a way to convert BACKWARDS? I know you can go from 7 to x but not sure about x to 7.

Specifically I want the feature to archive with handles like they had in 7. That is all I want from my current projects at this time.

Not to go on a tangent here, but I simply do not understand how others are able to accept Final Cut X. With continued use will it eventually feel like a professional NLE? It seems like so many features are missing. The simplest concepts are completely changed by what seems to be the devil himself, completely pointless reasoning to mess up something that works so well. Is the aim here to make things easier, because it seems ridiculous. Does this feeling go away?

Well, there is a very solid impression that Apple is shifting from small pro market to big consumer market, so fcpx to some people is simple a consumer app. But I do use and I like it, slowly is getting more and more features and getting more complete. I move from FCS 2 to fcpx, and the main difference to me is the manual approach: my old fcp need every aspect to be set, and the new tcp set everything automatic, but can be set manually. For me is faster. My two cents.
There is an app call "X to 7" and translate most of the edits, I dont know of another solution

Using FCP7 after using FCPX feels like going back to the 90s to me... I just love FCPX, feels so natural to me.

I guess to really get it you have to "unlearn" the old way to do things. If you're not able to do that then... I'm sorry for you! ;)

So I need to send another editor my FCPX Event (not just sequences/projects) so he can open in FCP7.
Basically I have all the sound logged and synced and some scenes edited in compound clips and now he needs to open that to finish the edit.

I was going to buy Xto7 but in the demoes I’ve watched it seems to only send Project XML but again I need to transfer the Event in its entirety. I’d hate to spend the $50 if it doesn’t have that functionality.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
