can i make 4X3 footage 16x9 in FCP?

Hello people

I have my last question of the month. Can I make my 4X3 footage 16X9 in FCP. Or do i need photo zoom or after effects.. If it can be done in final cut what is the process for doing so. I already know it can be done in photozoom but i dont own that program

sorta....you can crop it to a 16:9 aspect - there's plugins to do that in all the major NLEs including FCP. There's a 3rd party realtime one I saw announced in the last month or so.

Crop it in your 4:3 timeline and export movie. Reimport to 16:9 aspect ratio prject and resize.

The instant HD plugin is fast, good and cheap. Doesnt work with Intel Macs.
