Can I film macro with 2X Tele-Converter?

1.
I want to film close-ups (macro) and get the biggest picture with 50cm distance to object in full tele.
Do I get double the size with this setup, when I use the SchneiderOptics 2X Tele-Converter?
E.g. when I film a very small object that was filling half frame before, do I get it full frame using the 2x teleconverter, or is the 2x effect only working with big objects far from the camera?

2. The 2x tele costs $1500, would it be better and cheaper to use a 35mm adapter and use Photo (tele) lenses?

You should use a Diopter / macro lens. The tele won't focus that close especially when zoomed in. I have the century optics 3.5 X diopter that I'd like to sell, and it would be a LOT cheapr than that $1500 tele. It works great for superclose macros. It's 72mm threads. PM me if interested.
