Can I connect this Light Kit using normal Home Power Socket?

Yes, read the Features tab. The lamps can run up to 230 volts (or even 12-30 volts DC if you feel so inclined.) I wouldn't plug them all into the same outlet though!

That kit will not operate on 220V as supplied. The basic equipment is designed to operate on 220V, but you will need to replace the 110V bulbs with their 220V equivalents. And you will need to replace the North American power cords with cords compatible with the mains outlets in your country.

There are many different power cords available from Lowel for various mains sockets around the world: http://www.lowel.com/partscenter/home.php?cat=297 Perhaps if you buy the kit from a European vendor it will be supplied with 220V bulbs and power cords to work in your country.

Hi Richard,

oh I'm living in Switzerland, so I have to be carefully on buying This Lowel Kit from BHPHOTOVIDEO.

I wrote them that I live in Switzerland and asked them if they can prepare the kit for me.

Hi,

can I connect this kit complete using normal home power sockets? In Switzerland we are using 220V. Or will I need additional components?

It will be my first kit, sorry for a dummy question. I dont understand a lot arround this category.

Thank you

A quick calculation indicates that at 3200 W, at 220 V, you will be drawing about 15 amps.

In the US using a 15 amp device in a 15 amp circuit is perhaps not recommended... Don't know what the typical amp ratings for circuits in the house/building are for Europe.

That is of course if you have everything in the kit 'on' at the same time, on the same circuit...
