I want to fasten this to the center of a plywood dolly. Is it do-able? Gracias!!

Definitely. Just get a 3/8" bolt, drill a hole through the plywood and, voila, you're done. Look for a bolt with a windnut-type head or a "handle" like this:

Why not bolt it to a piece of 12"x12" plywood and sand bag it to the dolly. Then you could shim it up to level it. You could also use it as a quasi hi-hat. It's also nice to be able to make minute side to side adjustments, or slip a quarter or half apple underneath...
