Can anyone recommend a slider?

Looking to buy my first slider to mount either GH4 or 5D. I have access to both these cameras!

Budget is around £100-250. Can anyone make any decent suggestions and why?

Depends what would one calls "decent", but I like the cheap one I recently bough: REVO 33" from B&H, 109$.
If you'd want high quality, you'd need to invest a bit more and get a different system, but for a friction one, it's probably the cheapest option. I got used to it after 15-20mins.
I've heard good things about the Edelkrone one from a friend, but it's pricey.
One with bearings would be a good option, like the RHINO. I've seen one for sale in the trade&exchange section recently.

People's experiences with specific sliders would be of great help here.
So often we find reviews that say "great slider" and then the next review says "terrible, not smooth".
 
I really enjoy the Konova one that we have at my work - it's perfect for DSLRs/small cams, easy to transport and connect to tripods, and has some really clean movement to it. It was relatively cheap (I believe in your price range) and is one of the better sliders I've used for the price.
