Can Anyone Recommend a Good Microphone for Recording Narration/Voice Over?

Since Vince27 decided not tp participate in the conversation beyond his original post. I'm out. No help for the unappreciative.

I hadn't contributed here yet, but that is such a pisser when the op vanishes. Although we can all learn from the discussion.

Fwiw, I purchased a PR40 a while back and it is working for me so far; it seem very very neutral. I would like to compare it to a RE20.

One suggestion I have is a walk-in closet. I originally saw this used for a musician recording in Nashville. The layers of hanging clothes, and carpeted floor give it a nice "dead" sound.

Could be the OP read this thread, grabbed some good info, bought a cam or 2 and built up a business.

Then he hired staff, made the big time, bought new premises, raked in the big bucks, bought a nice yacht, sold his biz, moved to his new Caribbean Is ...
and forgot to thank us :(

Cheers.

What mic would you reccomend for the OP to record the sound of one hand clapping for him :cheesy:. But on a more serious note I want to believe he will pop back up. Just distracted.
Also I believe that many people read these answers and learn, advice is not wasted at all. I read and learn a lot more than I post. But with no OP response I believe it is right to call game over and move on.
