Can a SAG member act in a non-SAG film if its his/her OWN film?

BTW, when a union member goes "Fi-Core," they are not a FULL member of the union, but they are not a "non-member," either. Their financial core payments pay for their share of the collective bargaining done by the Union on behalf of the members. The FiCore member can work union or non-uniion. On union jobs, they are fully protected by the union contract, including fringes and residuals.
