Camera Tracking Fake Camera Movement?

Hey there,

I wasn't quite sure how to summarize this in a subject, so let me be more clear. I've seen on behind the scenes features for things like Sin City that often times when they have a certain camera movement, they'll put the actors on a spinning green platform in conjunction with a real moving camera in order to simulate a more complex camera move in the final composite. How do you go about tracking this for the composite? The scene I'm referencing here is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91SiTspiFoc

Thoughts? Thanks!

Plenty of 3D tracker software out there. This one can be done with a planar tracker like Mocha Pro which I use a lot.

Ah, I didn't realize it was so simple. I've used 3D tracking software, but I just wasn't aware of how you track movement on an object like that and apply it to a camera movement. Is that all you have to do for the the whole shot? Or is the real camera movement tracked separately from the planar tracking of the rotating platform?
