Camera purr and ticking.

Hi Wabbit,

I'm not sure how I can post audio files up for you to hear. If you could tell me how to make them from Premiere and what to do, then I''ll post them.

I contacted the supplier yesterday. They said to bring the DVX100B in for them to test and if they feel it is a fault they will then send it to Panasonic for inspection.

I've handled this camera like a newborn baby and even with all the audio tests there are only 6 hours on the heads. So I'm hoping they accept that this is indeed a faulty DVX100B.
 
Not familiar with Premiere but most NLE have an "export selected audio" option somewhere under the file menu. If it only exports uncompressed you can make an MP3 from the wav (or whatever) file with Windows Media Player.

Don't knock yourself out posting the files. I am just curious but honestly don't even know if hearing the noise will be any help in diagnosing your problem. From what you describe it does sound like a camera problem that you need to get repaired.
