I have a problem with my camera not being detected by Premiere, it gets detected on my comp and other program. Is it because I'm usign a USB cable, if so, anyway to get around it?

You don't have a firewire hookup? Prem will only look for Firewire [or a capture card] but not USB

Not sure what kind of cam you have but if it does have USB on it, it's usually (almost always) used to transfer still from the camera to the computer. Sometimes it can act as a webcam as well... depends on the cam. Firewire for video.

Some consumer models use USB. But, as already mentioned, Premiere won't find it. You'll have to use the software supplied by your camera or download it from the Internet.
