I'm sure this has been asked 1000 times, but I'm looking for a camera light that is;
a) affordable
b) produces an even amount of light on subjects faces (interviews)
c) good for both day and night conditions
d) portable
I've been contemplating doing something like this...

..but I'm wondering about the safety of the design. If the light is not grounded, couldn't it give off a terrible shock that will fry not only the camera, but the person holding it? I wouldn't be using a wall socket to use the light, I would be using a 120v power inverter since I will be using it on the road.
can anyone suggest any other ideas?
(DIY's would also be amazing!)
