Camera help

Hey guys, I was wondering what would be a good camera to get? I would like to spend a maximum of $2000. What would your addvice on getting a new camera?
 
well, before the site veterans see your post and decide to order a hit on you for your vague question, I'm just going to make a thousand assumptions about your uses and say, uh, how bout the Ag-DVC60. its got a movie mode, some widescreen, at about $1600 last I checked.
 
Hey thanks alot guys! This is just the kind of stuff I was looking for. Sorry I was so vauge and all. I am mainly interested in making short films while school is just starting and then I was planing on doing a longer film next summer.
