Camera Crane Video and Compression

Distance to subject and craning speed. Notice how the LRT crane shots look much smoother because the distance to the subject slow the apparent movement.

Slow down your crane speed for close subjects, like your fireplace and tree. In fact, slowing those crane movements down considerably for nearby objects will make your camera look more like its a big heavy panavision and the shot will look even more majestic.

Then when its compressed to a fraction of its original size it will keep that look. Also, make sure when using squeeze you match output frame rates exactly with original to further avoid mismatch stutters.

First off, No, that is MY WORK. Or I wouldn't have put my Company name on it!
I shot it all on my 8 foot Kessler Crane. I don't post other people's work on here.

Second, "ChopperBob" was my uncle. He was a Vietnam Chopper Pilot and then was a Helicopter instructor for Robinson Choppers for over 15 years. He was killed in Souther California about 2 years ago in a Chopper Crash. He was teaching Auto Rotation when a student Pilot tried to land his chopper and hit my uncle's chopper causing him to crash and was killed. Yes, it was sad.

I shed a tear for Chopper Bob. :crybaby:

Nice little jib demo. Was that your brother's work? :cheesy: :)

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend. I was just curious why your video was on a Chopper Bob site.

Furthermore, I was joking about the video being your brother's because you've posted about his work on a feature film before. Plus, you were as giddy as a schoolgirl last week when ordering your DVX. :)

No problem. I was just using the hosting I have to host my video and such.
And as for my DVX100B!! It will be here TUESDAY!!!

Yiiippeee!!!! :love4:
