Hey all,

After getting lots of requests for such a gadget, I went ahead and built one. It gives you 8' of reach (plus the tripod height), lets you tilt your camera up and down at the end of the pole and breaks down into two 5' pieces. I also cover counterweights and a low-cost monitoring system.

Enjoy!

this is amazing i am bookmarking the video and will try to build this in a couple weeks

only possible request. is it possible somehow to make an addition that not only tilts the head up and down but pans left and right too?

Did you try out that ball head idea/tripod head that put on youtube?
also, you might try some nylon washers at the joints.

Thanks for the video, definitely running to home depot in the near future to pick up the parts. What isle did you find the pipe in?

It's fencing top rail which will be with the fencing. Usually it's near the lumber, sometimes it's outside. All depends on store.
