Hey guys,
We are in the early stages or research and Pre-production for a Docu-drama that we are hoping to shoot this year which will be going to DVD
I am trying to budget for a camera kit rental at the moment but i am a bit stuck on which way to go with it.....
- I definitely want ENG lenses as it is going to have the feel of a documentary.
- Definitely HD, although format/storage etc undecided.
- I definitely want Solid-state as it has worked well for me in the past.
At moment, i am stuck between going with something like Sony EX3 (Possibly w/nanoflash) or go with something like the Panasonic HPX-370 or even the Sony PDW-F800 XDCAM HD.
I have had good experiences with the EX3 but i am wondering if it is work upscaling to something like the Sony PDW-F800 XDCAM HD and working with different workflows....?
Any opinions or information would be great!
Thanks!!
Tom
