Camera Cart - Carpet?

Hey guys,

I'm in the middle of putting the finishing touches on a cart for my department, and I need to get some carpeting for the shelves.

I'm talking about the kind of carpet that can be seen on this cart here:

I'm thinking that it might just be some standard outdoor carpet, but I don't really know. I really want to be sure before I make any purchases. Normally, I'd just run over and ask the camera dept, but we're still in preproduction and they won't be here for a few weeks.

Thanks!

Looks like low-pile commercial carpet (like the kind in schools and offices.) You could probably just go to a carpet store and get some off-cuts, especially if you don't mind what color they are.

I have covered a lot of equipment and carts with remnants purchased from a local carpet store for a dollar or two apiece. Just look for a synthetic low-pile indoor-outdoor carpet -- they are designed to hold up to a lot more wear and tear than you'll ever experience on an equipment cart.

Thanks for the help guys.

I was able to find some cheap indoor/outdoor carpet at Home Depot. Unfortunately, the minimum amount you can buy is 12 yards, but it still wasn't all that pricey. It worked perfectly, and the dept head was very happy with it.
