Camera bag suggestions

[roxics]

I'm looking for a new backpack I can carry my camera and my laptop. It seems like all the camera bags out there are too much of a camera bag and not enough of a backpack. I don't have a lot of big lenses. I only carry two or three small primes and my camera accessories. I shoot with a Canon 60 D. I also need to carry other accessories like my h4n and my wireless keyboard and trackpad. A bigger pouch area for carrying other random things would also be nice.

Any suggestions?

Maybe a real backpack with a smaller camera bag inside for your camera goodies?

Yeah that's pretty much what I do right now. The downside is having to go through two layers to get to your camera. Maybe I should just start sewing.

Thanks. But it's still too much camera bag and not enough backpack. It's pretty much just a camera bag they added a laptop compartment to.

I guess what I envision is something where the laptop slides in the back like that bag (also like my current backpack) and then ther eis a big open pouch area like a normal backpack, but also a compartment on the top that unzips to pull out a camera.

Here is a picture of my current backpack.

Here is my camera trying to be inserted into the top pouch.

I guess I could modify my backpack so that top pouch goes deeper and is padded for a camera. Because that's ideally what I'm looking for. I wouldn't modify anything else on this backpack. Even though I already changed out the zippers for the silver ones.
