Camera as the narrator

I'm looking for a couple good examples of scenes where the camera moves completely as a narrator without specific motivation.

The scene in Silence of the Lamps where the camera roams around the apartment until finding the killer at his desk is a great example of what I'm looking for. There's no emotional motivation or blocking that motivated the moves, just the camera looking around his home and introducing the character.

Another example I know of it the opening to Rear Window.

Anyone else know of some?

I suppose Russian Ark would be the ultimate example - an entire one-shot movie from the perspective of an utterly anonymous 'narrator'. Although that one still implies the camera is a physical person (e.g. other characters talk to the camera as if it's a person), I think you're looking for even more abstract than that, where there's not even an implied person to justify the camera POV...
