Camera and external recorder that will hold it's value the most for the next year!

Dude, just buy a camera. It will lose a good portion of it's value, as would a car or any other purchase. You're not going to sell anything second hand for the same price that you bought it, not sure why you think a camera should be any different.

I recon a Sony F3 and Hyperdeck are a great combo and they are both cheep as these days. Ive seen F3 packages going 2nd hand for $4000!!!
That said, the BMC pocket with a speedbooster & hyperdeck is also a great combo and cheep.

Thanks everyone for a great patience and your priceless help. I've decided to go for second hand FS700.
Because I cannot post in sell/buy section yet I am posting it here.
Looking for second hand (demo unit most preferably) FS700. Have to have at least 1 year warranty left, from known source, with all the paperworks and seller have to be able to give me vat invoice for the camera.

EU region only, preferably Poland, Germany or UK.
Please PM me with offer.
Thank you!

Good choice, if you can get a 7Q down the line, it will become a GREAT choice.

I'm sat editing some FS700 4K as we speak at it is just stunning.. Some of the best footage i've worked with.

I have my eyes on Shogun, it would be great if it could deliver same features. Some great savings could be made on media purchase, also screen resolution and it's form factor are very nice to have.

What sort of machine have you got? How is it handling it?

In this instance.... We are going to Cineform codec and into Premiere Pro. You lose a bit of DR and image control, but it is still a great image.

If a clip needs every ounce of DR, I bring it into AE first and export as Pro Res.

I'm no pro editor though, so there are probably better workflows.
