.cam file conversion

[Robbie Comeau]

Hey guys,

My friend did a screen capture video of one of his games he's playing. He wants to edit it in Adobe Premiere.

It's a .cam file.

Is there any way to convert this to a .wmv, or .avi, or any other file that Adobe can handle?

Thanks,

Robbie

What did he record it with, or is it an ingame demo?

His computer recorded it with the on screen capture on his PC.

I think what he meant was, "What software did he record it with?"

No clue. Sorry

You could try "Super" - http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

Im guessing he uses Camtasia, That .CAM file uses a "Techsmith" Avi Codec, you could try installing the demo of Camtasia (so your system gets the techsmith codec) then rename the file to .avi and open with Premiere/Vegas.

The more info you get about it the easier it is to help
