Hey man, I'm concerned for you. Are you ok? You haven't been around since everything happened down there and honestly dude, I'm worried about you.
I know there's no power so maybe that's the main reason but did you stay or evacuate?

Now that I think about it, I wouldn't be on this or any site in an event like that. I'd be trying to survive.

Just concerned for you bro. Hope everything is ok for you and your family.

jdanstan is from New Orleans? Oh man! Lets hope he got out before the storm hit. Good luck and take care.

The lack of reply has me a bit worried for him. Of course, we should all keep in mind that not everyone would, once safe, run to DVXuser to check in.

I'd imagine he's having a hard time finding internet access right now (not that it's even crossed his mind with all that's going on down there).

Trust me I'm sure no one down there is thinking about getting online but I'd rather put it out there then just not say anything at all.

I'm from Lafayette. As most of you know, New Orleans is down. No power and in full evacuation mode. Jefferson Parish, just to the West, was allowing home owners in for 12 hrs today to gather belongings and take pictures of their damage. Spotty power situation in Jefferson Parish, but no one is allowed to return full time to their homes.

If jdanstan lived in New Orleans, Metarie, Kenner, or any of the surrounding areas, they have been evacuated hopefully, or they got out pre-Katrina. Hopefully he can get to a power grid and get access to a computer to check in. Most people got out with the clothes on their backs. Very sad.

We've been driving supplies to surrounding Parish's and working at the local level to help relief. My day job is flying helicopters, and I can tell you that its been rewarding to see all the rescues that have taken place. I fly for an offshore company and we've been busy although we don't do hoist rescues because we're not equipped for it, nor do we train for it.

Hope to hear from all of those persons in the greater New Orleans area and surrounding effected towns. Here in Lafayette, we dodged the bullet.

Hey guys, just got a PM from him and all is well...... PM him, he's around.

So, what's the story with him... or, would he rather respond to each of our individual PMs?
