I'm having a tripod dilemma
3046 and 501

Anyone have 3046 legs, are they stable? Tripod will be use for more static shots with little panning (maybe, I never used a "good tripod") I'm more of a home made steady cam/stick guy. And after watching Jacob's home made jib I have to make a crane now:grin:

Dude are you nuts? Those two packages aren't in the same ballpark.

351 and 503 all the way!

Once you have a pod with a half-ball leveler there is no going back. You won't regret getting the best pod you can. Every time you get it out it's a great feeling.
 
Well I hope Rush will cut me some slack on the "BETTER" one. I knew when Hudson was the first to respond I was going to be spending more money.

You don't know annoying until you have to try to level your head using just the legs. I agree with John and Matt. Get the good stuff and you don't regret it later.
