Calling all dvxr's

Posted this in the Gh1 forum, this may get more traffic.

Okay, so this is the deal. I had an external HDD that has 2 scenes that I shot for a short film and my drive looks like it died and desperately need it. Not the disk inside the drive, but the "logic board" on the drive. I'm 95% sure as I've had 2 techs look at it and we've all come up with the same consensus. I need to replace the board and here's to hoping someone out there can help me. This is what I need from you.

The drive is a Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.B

Part Number P/N: 0A38110
Model Number M/N: HDT721064SLA380
Capacity: 640GB
Sata 3.0 Gb/s
Some kind of barcode number: 0A38110BA30130C91 JAN-2009

Here's a link to a place who's supposedly has them in stock:

Please look to see if you have this lying around or in your computer and would be willing to exchange for another hard drive. I'm at mercy here. Help!!

Me too ! I had 4k project on mine that had to be reshot, never again will I buy a maxtor/lacie. G-raid saved my day, worth every penny.

After reshooting the gig, I thought about how to pull the footage off for awhile... What I came up with, but never got a chance to try only because I went juggernaut on the drive... was to buy the same exact drive and very carefully replace the disks. If you decide to try it, let me know how it turns out.

Success! I was able to recover my data! I didn't have to purchase another HDD or a Logic (PCB) board to obtain it. A simple removal of 2 diodes booted the hdd and I recovered every bit of data left on the drive. Hooray! Now to the tedious process of editing.
