Calling all colorists: Very specific look

Damn those grades look ****in nice and pretty close Noel. Would love to see some of my other images in that folder graded, especially the video grabs. Did they not open for you as PSDs ?

I can resend the RAW files if they dont work, or convert them to JPG.

Also someone else wanted to take a stab at it, would love to see what others come up with - just for fun, but this is good Noel. I'll get back to you a bit later on specifics

Ok, here are the shots - converted to JPEG.

Would love to see these graded in that color style, if anyone is going to grade this in Photoshop for instance, can you run an action and save it then upload it? I'd like to see the actual process, helps me understand it better when I follow it.

One thing I've definitely noticed, is that to get this specific grade to work on all levels - the other factors definitely play in a great deal, wardrobe, location, source lighiting.

In all the videos above, the pattern is apparent, lots of greys, and black colors already present either in wardrobe or scenery

thought id try my hand at grading two of the images.

i even did this in looks builder if you'd want the look file. just did some curves editing, saturation filters, contrast adjustment etc.

This is beautiful! this is exactly IT. You nailed it in both images. Looks just like the LFO - Freak.

Man you gotta PM me or post here with the process

I played around on my own in photoshop.

I came pretty close with that second one, matching the first video. I added a Photo Filter (Deep Emerald) at the end.

heres a link to the look file i made. play around with the setup i made in magic bullet, turning on and off effects, adjusting settings, etc., and you'll get a good idea of the process i used. theres a few things in there that arent always needed, like auto shoulder, which i put in there for the bright sky in the soccer picture, but i left it in to make the look file a 'default setup' for that blue wash look.
