Calling all 35mm adapter owners

Hey guys this place has been awesome since I signed up. Mikko has helped me a lot in figuring out a good Stedicam.

Next is an adapter.

Ive read hundreds of posts here about adapters and am really well informed thanks to those who posted.

I want to know what YOU think of YOUR own adapter that you have. I'm sure there are pros and cons to all of them. I know that one of the cons is image flipping. So please don't list just that. I think it would be helpful to myself and to others what gripes and or praises you may have from your everyday use of said product.

So if you have an adapter, whatever brand it may be. It would be great to hear from you.

Thanks

Actually, it would be even better if you simply read some of the information already posted. I am sure someone has even asked your very question. And next week someone will post that they want everyone to post in their thread. Seems like this is a plague that every single forum suffers from.

Hi Eatsnax,
Choosing an adapter is very difficult (I've been there before) and can be very frustrating with the pros and cons on making a decision. Think of the adapter as a tool. With the right knowledge can be a very useful resource.

The second thing is to know what look you're seeking. Some adapters have a dirty look and some have a gloomy, dreaming look.

The third thing to look into is weight. Ask yourself can my tripod, fig rig, steadicam, etc.. hold the extra weight. Ask yourself are you planning on using a external monitor.

There's a few things to think about, before you purchase a unit.

The products I plan to bring to the table are going to be made of the highest quality parts and CNC'd for perfection. We're into the second stage of my fourth adapter and should be releasing the new ifocus 35mm and ifocus HD 35mm sometime in July. I should have sample footage and pictures of the new unit ready soon. The new unit is going to be very affordable and easy to perform maintenance (when needed).

If you have any questions please feel free to ask PM. :)

Chris
