iam so new to this so don't mind the stupid question.
Little bit confused with this cable issue, i got an Oktava MK012A, and i wanna get it's cabels, was checking around the forum about it cause i don't wanna get wrong cabels, from what i read here i understood that cabels make big differences in sound quality. So end of story, what cabels do i get ? and are they all standard ? like male/ female thing stuff ?

i checked in https://www.trewaudio.ca/store/home.php?cat=28 what is a "thin" cable ?

PROBABLY the answers are there in the forum, but i really made a good search and reading and for some reason i can't understand it. I just need it strait out "get this one" "get that one" lol

Thanks guys

Depends on the camera you're using. If it has a mini 3.5mm jack (the same size as most headphones), then you'll need an XLR to mini 3.5 cable.

If you've got something with XLR inputs, get a regular XLR cable. Your mic has an XLR output, to give you an idea of what they look like.

Pick the length that suits you. If you've got 3.5 inputs, don't try running a cable of more than around 10 feet. P

Thanks

i have a dvx100

does over 10 feet cable effect the audio ? ...longer the cable less quality ?

Having cables too long is really only a problem if you don't have XLR ports, which you don't have a problem with because of your dvx.

You can run pretty much any reasonable amount of cable.
