CA correction?

I was messing with my recently hacked Canon A630 and opening my first RAW stills into Photoshop... cool stuff! There is a lot of control over the picture that I haven't found on the normal image adjustments such as a VERY cool feature where you get to "align?" the colors to get rid of chromatic aberration...?!

I am not sure if this is in fact aligning the colors individually but it seems to be so...

Well of course what I am wondering is if I wan do this in Vegas somehow to remove any CA and not only get rid of the colored rims but also sharpen the image!

BTW, feel free to tutor me on CA and other optical problems that may be corrected in post to achieve a sharper image out of my HVX or other cameras when using Vegas (or other NLEs why not)

that's weird... I tried it but it didn't do anything?
full blast at 4.0 and 4.0,checked the FX bypass...

?

Oh... no David, I didn't try it with the stills just with HVX footage but I was expecting something to happen at full blast... I thought it would be something bad at 4.0, but nothing did... nothing happened to the image at all?
I guess I better try with the stills

well I tried dropping the CRW but it didn't work, so I tried the .DNG's I made for ingestion into Photoshop but they open up at like 10% the vertical and horizontal pixel count...?

anywho I
did have about one or two pixels worth of blue... yea, the lens on the camera is THAT bad and the pictures are THAT big... this thing is giving me 3264 x 2448 (8MP) shots... so this is a great example of CA... so anyway... I tried the chromatic blur but again nothing happened... I had cropped the image to see clearly but NOTHING happens to any other pixels on the image... not to the CA or the rest of the picture...

I am guessing there is something up with my Vegas? something should happen... right?
