C4D lagging issues.

Non responsive issues.

I have installed C4D Sudio R10.1 32 bit, R13 32 and 64 bit studio versions.

I have Windows 7 home premium 64 bit SP1,
AMD FX-8100 Eight Core Processor, 10 gig ram, AMD Radeon HD7570 video card.

The C4D prefs show that my card is compatible with all of C4D's OpenGL requirements but I still have to use Software mode and it stalls for about 10 seconds every 15 seconds or so.
But that may be because I'm running facebook and antivirus at the same time.

But why the OpenGl Issues? I've updated my NVidia drivers and LG video drivers. And still, I have to run in software mode.

I mean I paid for a workable PC and I can't even use OpenGl and it stutters/freezes intermittenly?

Anyone else have problems? I had zero problems running r10.1 on XP, single core with 1gig of ram. After windows and antivirus running I had about 500 meg ram usable. Never had a single problem.

Ooops, actually no. I must have been thinking nVidia when I typed that because that's what I used to use for years. I'll keep looking into it.

edit:// It seems my 10.1 had been runninning in OpenGL the last 2 days. I've set it back to software mode and at least it's stable again. Whew.
I guess I can live without OpenGL for awhile.
