c300 questions

Hi just some C300 questions:

- Will the new 8-15 EF lens be a good choice as a wide angle? ( i have a 5d so i rather not get efs)
- How does the codec downconvert to SD. I ask this because the xdcamex codec is realy bad at this and yes there is still a SD world out there.
- would i be creazy for selling my ex3 now and just keep my 5d and the c300. I only used the ex3 this year when i was to lazy to change lenses.

- That lens will be crazy wide on the C300. Also, it's a fish-eye lens, so if you want that look, then yes it will be great.
- The codec isn't really the issue with SD downconvert. It's the resolution. High quality downconversion to SD is not a simple task, I would say evaluate your process and go from there. There are many online tutorials to help you get the best SD from the HD source material.
- This is a question only you can answer, and depends on your shooting requirements and delivery needs. What type of material to you shoot? Do you need a powered ENG zoom lens? Do you shoot a log of events or run 'n gun scenerios? Do you need deep depth of field. If you answer no to all the questions, then I would say selling the EX3 in order to purchase a C300 is a viable option.
